One of the best parts of being in the dry cleaning business is that our customers visit us before and after the most significant events in their lives. Through the years we’ve met many wonderful friends and neighbors who have felt comfortable sharing the important and not-so important events in their lives. We’ve enjoyed watching our customers’ kids grow up, just as many of our customers have watched our own kids grow up. We believe that getting to know our customers is one of the greatest benefits of living and working in a small town.
We are committed to earning the loyalty of our customers, so when a customer has something good to say about their experience with Colonial Cleaners, we’re proud to share it.
In my opinion, Colonial Cleaners continues to raise the bar for dry cleaners. I have been a customer for more than ten years and I still appreciate the professionalism of their staff and the quality of their work. It’s always such a pleasant experience to visit their shop on Catoonah Street.
Choosing Colonial Cleaners as my dry cleaner reminds me of why I chose to live in Ridgefield. They offer old fashioned service while keeping up with the times.

Since my mother passed away when I was 10, I have been dreaming of the day I could wear her wedding dress to my wedding. When I got engaged, my father and I took it out of the preservation box to discover a miscolored, stained, brown dress—it was a mess. My father rushed it over to the Colonial Cleaners team, knowing how careful they had treated all of his clothes for more than a decade.
Over the next 11 months, the Colonial Team treated the dress as if it were for one of their own daughters—multiple rounds of handwashing, extensive tailoring and adjustments, fitting after fitting—going above and beyond to bring my mother’s dress back to life. They succeeded in transforming the old, brown, stained dress into the dress of my dreams, and thanks to Colonial, my mother will be with me when I walk down the aisle later this summer. The Colonial Team have truly become part of my family and I am forever grateful to them for all their hard work.
